Has Your Club Been SWOTted?

Toastmasters Club SWOT

The 2013-14 Toastmaster year is now underway and it is time to start doing club planning for the year.  Division F recently had our first Club Officers Training of the year.  All of the club presidents present did a SWOT analysis (see the picture above) along with the officers in their club.

SWOT is an abberviation of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Weaknesses. Each club should discuss and come up with some points for each area,   based on what the come up with, you should come up with three action items that you’ll focus on.  In order for the action items to work, you should make them SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely), they should be assigned to people so that they can be performed and tracked.

If you and your club are SMART in your SWOT, you’ll be on your way to a great  Toastmaser year. Check out the Our Toastmasters group pinboard for other helpful Toastmaster documents and ideas.
