André Daus has been a passionate Toastmaster from the moment he joined one of the local Toastmasters Club in Cologne the Rheinredner. A few weeks after joining the club he presented his Icebreaker speech and only about half a year later he finished the Competent Communication Manual. André is a self-employed consultant in the financial sector. As project manager and business analyst he regularly gives workshops and presentations. At the same time he continuiously strives to extend his knowledge by attending workshops about communication and presentation. Currently he works on a new product or business idea. Of course it is about improving communication.
Darryl Heron – I’m a Client Facing Project Manager for a Global IT company by day and a Social Media Evangelist and Toastmaster by night. I’m deeply interested in most things Social Media. I completed my Competent Communicator in June 2012 and am now working on my Competent Leader (hope to have this in 2013) as well as the Advanced Communicator Bronze.
I’m originally from the Detroit area in the United States and moved to Frankfurt, Germany area as a result of my German wife (ask me about it I’ll be glad to tell you the story but you’ll need more than a couple of minutes)!
I’m currently the V.P. Public Relations for the Word Weavers club in Wiesbaden, Germany (since July 2012) as well as serving as the Lt. Governor of Public Relations for Division F (since October 2012). I’m really excited that we’ve been able to get this project off the ground. There are lots of interesting Toastmasters in our corner of the world and I’m looking forward to getting to me as many of you as I can and hearing your stories. You can find out more about me here.

Hélène Kemmere is a roaming Toastmaster. She left Belgium & Holland last year, is enjoying living in London before moving to Cambridge later on.
At the beginning of this century, she went to Toastmasters when she thought she had to deliver a good & humorous speech at her son’s wedding. As Founding Officer of TMOTH in The Hague she did her Icebreaker with trembling knees. After 3 more speeches she was unexpectedly told to address an audience of 2000 in Barcelona on the same day. That is how quickly you can learn at Toastmasters.
When Darryl Heron in Germany had the idea of starting this ‘’Toastmasters Podcast Europe’’ for the whole continent, Helen was excited at the opportunity for Toastmasters to expand onto different platforms. Moreover it is the right time before the alignment will divide Europe into several more Districts. Interesting times!
